Friendship Hour

The Friendship Hour, which meets to enjoy fellowship on the third Tuesday of each month.

All senior members are most welcome to our informal meetings and if you would like to join and need transport this can be arranged. Please contact the church office, telephone 028 9751 9883 or speak to Winnie or Patricia.

Over the past months we have had interesting quizzes by Marilyn, cookery with our very own ‘chef’ Roy and flower arranging and aromatherapy by Patricia. At Christmas time we had a lovely lunch followed by entertainment and a visit from Santa! Other afternoons conclude with a cup of tea, home baked scones and pancakes from Maudie and Irene and usually a delicious piece of Winnie’s shortbread.

Our last meeting in April took the form of an outing to the Royal Ulster Constabulary George Cross Memorial Garden at Police Headquarters. We were made most welcome and had a very informative and interesting guided tour through the gardens which was conducted by two of the official guides. We then visited Hillmount Garden Centre, and after a browse around we enjoyed an excellent salad tea and desert.
